Welcome!

We are a friendly gardening club with an interest in all things to do with gardening and horticulture.

We meet on the first Thursday of every month, except January and August, 7.30pm (with coffee from 7pm) at the Methodist School Rooms in North Street, Castle Cary.

We invite a wide range of speakers on gardening topics with occasional visits to interesting gardens.

We hold a plant sale at the beginning of May.

Our Annual Show at Caryford Hall in Maggs Lane is on the first Saturday of August each year.  This is open to anyone.  Classes include vegetables, fruit, flowers, homecraft, art, photography, crafts and more.

There are many benefits of joining, including:

  • Seasonal plants, bulbs, seeds & produce (free or at minimal cost)
  • Free prize raffle at the end of the year
  • Benefit from bulk buys or club recommendations
  • An open garden event for members
  • Discretionary discounts on gardening items at some local shops & garden centres (details on membership card)
